Work Party 13th& 14th April 2024

Please find below our intended work list for the spring work party, Please come prepared to work on the items below. Normal work party start time is 09.00 and a BBQ will be available at lunch time.

Clubhouse
Keep everyone supplied with Tea and Coffee
Wash outside walls.
Clean interior including shower, toilet, windows and blinds.

Jetty
Inspect the structure refurb / repair if necessary / repair scrubbing pad ladder.
Jetwash weed from deck and paint with preservative.

Entry gate and driveway
Cut back foliage inside and outside gate.
Fill potholes
Replace missing bolts

Road Fence
Inspect and refurb perimeter fencing
Trim/clear any obstructing hedge on road side

Cradles and Tractor
Wet Cradle
Check wheel nuts for tightness.
Jack up and grease bearings and joints.
Check tyres and inflate if necessary.
Paint handrails and any rust spots.
Check tyres and inflate if necessary.

Small
Grease and check bearings and wheel nuts.
Check and inflate tyres if necessary.
Repaint any rust spots.
Tractor
Clean tractor.
CCTV
Clear cobwebs from cameras.
Check broadband cable is clear of branches etc.

Bosuns store
Tidy contents.
Check / run motorised equipment.

Lean To
Clear burnable rubbish.
Metal to waste pile
Tidy area.
Cess pit check

Oar store / toilet
Clean toilet.
Tidy Contents of oar store.
Fit 2 external doors and remove existing metal doors when available.
Install roof between clubhouse and store.

Yard and Seawall
Construct scrap metal containment.
Cover area between clubhouse and oar store.
Carry out rubbish pick from whole site / collect rubbish from inside of perimeter fence.
Check and clear field drain.
Inspect sea wall.
Tidy Sleepers
Trim or cut down deadwood on trees.
Cut grass and strim weeds.
Clean slipway.
Collect old wood for bonfire on foreshore.
Check dinghy launch trollies.
HERAS fencing, check/repair perimeter and re-secure if necessary.
Backfill seawall beneath CCTV camera.
Raft
Lubricate pulley/vice.
Paint any rust on metalwork.
