We have received an urgent request for help by the organisers of the Lower Halstow Raft race on Saturday morning. They have been let down on safety cover. Quoting from the email “ We have carried out risk assessments, have insurance in place and all entrants have signed waivers to the event, however we have a slight problem in that the guy who owns jetstream tours and had promised us a safety boat now seems a bit flaky. Is there anyway someone from the club could come down and help us out? We need a motorised dinghy really.”
The race starts at 11.00 tomorrow. I am available to assist, but I’m sure a couple of other dinghies would be useful.
