We have recently been working on an exercise to clear up the yard and remove abandoned dinghies and trailers. This creates more space for everyone. As you will know, it’s a Club rule that all items stored in the yard are clearly marked with your membership number. A few weeks ago, I sent out an email to all those who have stated on their membership form that they have a dinghy in the yard, but we could not identify which one. Thanks for all of your replies, which have enabled us to identify almost all of the dinghies – and particular thanks to those who have now numbered their property. The attached photo shows six dinghies which are clearly not seaworthy and we think have been abandoned. We removed these from the racks during last weekend’s working party. Any dinghies not claimed will become the property of the Club to be sold, scrapped or re-allocated.
