At the end of last week 3 lads in their 20’s entered yacht club grounds. They were seen by Lou M.W who enquired what they were doing. They said they were rabbit catchers and had permission from the Mouland family to go anywhere on their land to catch rabbits. This was a lie. They were poaching.
I would not expect members to put themselves at risk if there are more such occurrences, judge the circumstances carefully.
There is a police operation targeting poaching called ‘Galileo “ The Mouland family suggest a 999 call quote “Galileo “ and a police response would hopefully occur. Descriptions, vehicle details any weapons, dogs or ferrets would be useful information.
