Just had 4 days in a 24ft, 2ft 9in draft, Snapdragon 24 yacht travelling to Youngs marina at the top of Oare creek and home.
In case you would like to give it a go, ‘Terry’ at Youngs can take up to 29ft but draft is a problem unless you get advice and look at HT greater than 5.8m and rising. I had a 5.4 and rising.

I left Stangate to travel via the Swale (due to high NE winds), under the bridge. Call channel 10 to get your request acknowledged and note time of lift. On arrival at creek entrance and at approx. 1.5 hrs before HW round the Faversham spit buoy but don’t cut the Starboard red cans too close to make your way up to the Faversham creek/Oare creek divide.
 Keep to the Starboard creek. Orange round buoy at split in creeks keep to port as its the boat shed end of slip marker. Motor closer to the moored boats on your port side for the channel. At the end of the moored boats pass between 3 sets of 2 withies. Ahead you will see Youngs and the gap between port and Starboard moored craft.

Current overnight charge of £15 for my 24. Excellent food at the on-site ‘Cafe on the Creek’. Yard facilities include toilets/shower. There are 2 pubs very close. Bus runs into Faversham. Any more info please get in touch with Terry or me.

Even with the strong winds it was still manageable. With your crew and the wind reasonable you could get round the island and back up to the mouth of the creek in plenty of time. Photos a little too large at the moment to shrink. When I m over the club I will show you.
