The race around the Red Sands Towers and back is scheduled for this coming Sunday, the first of June:
Course
Start time 08.00
Medway no.7 buoy to starboard.
Red Sands towers to starboard.
Middle sand beacon to starboard.
Spile buoy to starboard.
Finish in short reach.
First boat home records finish times.
High water on Sunday morning is 0500 so a night at anchor or an early start will be needed. Doubtless yachts/crews will be available for those wanting a crew or yacht.
The forecast is greatly improved for Sunday (it must be…) so hopefully we will have a good turnout. It would be helpful if you could let me know below if you will be there so that we have an idea of numbers?

Hi all, not quite up to this on my own boat (Charlie Buoy) just yet due to still learning, but believe could be of use to crew for anyone if needed? Where is the starting pointas the high water is 5ish and start is at 8am there will be no water on Halstow creek. I assume we all start at Stangate Creek but can you confirm this please? I think I might take a part.

Yes, the start will be at the far end of Halstow Creek. So an early start or a night afloat.
A few skippers are planning to go if the forecast is ok. At the moment it looks breezy but do-able, but we will try to cancel in good time on Saturday if need be.
