I see that someone has left an orange plastic body-board by the chain locker. Unless I hear otherwise I’m assuming that this is in response to my request for such items and is a gift to the club so thank you.
I have covered 3 polystyrene blocks in layers of pallet wrap. The larger of these is for use with the raft for sinker laying. A couple of replacement sinkers will be layed soon. I will post instructions and photographs of how to do it afterwards.
The two smaller blocks are for moving across the mud. This is best done by placing the block on top of one of the bodyboards, which protect then base from abrasion. Instead of kneeling on the board, which is very messy, it is possible to move around in a standing position by pushing your hands down on the top of block. This is both easier and cleaner.
If using the blocks please take care to avoid ripping the wrapping on concrete and stones . Wash blocks and boards and return them to the covered area at the work bench to reduce UV degradation of the plastic.
Pallet wrap costs about £8 for 250m so a very inexpensive fix.

orange board left by me – donation if of of use – think its a hollow board so may have a limited life on/due to abrasion
