East Coast trip August 2019

A few pics of the brief trip to the River Blackwater. First postponed last week due to the horrendous weather last weekend and then cut short due to another bad weekend forecast. First night we anchored in Pyefleet Creek and the second at Heybridge Lock. With Friday’s forecast not looking good we set off straight after locking out around 12.30 Thursday. The forecast was 4-5 W backing SW later so we thought we would be punching the wind once out of the Blackwater. As it turned out, all 4 boats were able to sail most of the way home. The Westerly lasted all day, only easing right off just outside Sheerness.
