Another early start and it was raining. Whilst getting ready the sun broke through the rain and formed a spectacular rainbow. We raised our anchors and set off. Soon after exiting the harbour Daydream called on vhf that they had a pod of dolphins with them. They joined Foreness for a while just behind daydream. Foreness was slightly ahead and off to starboard of me when I noticed the pod making for me at high speed. Unfortunately I wasnt ready to capture their approach, but was treated to a wonderful farewell.
After that the rest of the day was pretty dull until the Coast Guard Marine Safety broadcast where they announced live firing at the Aberporth MoD range which occupies much of Cardigan bay. We tried calling the range on VHF and by phone but got no reply. I checked with the Coastguard and it turned out that they only had dates for last week and nothing for this. Michael also found the same on line. The decision was made that if there was live firing there would be guard boats so we continued on. We came out the other side with no holes in the sails, so assumed the Coastguard was giving out of date information. After a long 60Nm passage we arrived at Pwllheli.
The weather isnt looking good for the next few days so we may not be moving much.

Hey David, just a note to say your updates are just brilliant, love them and the photos too which really bring the trip to life.
The dolphins spots are just a wonderful well deserved bonus.
