When using the raft for repairs be wary that the pulley hook can jam in the links of the chain. This is particularly difficult to resolve if using it at mud level to support the ground chain to enable the riser chain above to be cut away for replacement. When possible I’ll acquire a smaller hook to attach to the main hook that will not jam. In the mean time a length of sacrificial rope should be used if needed so that it can be cut away. If you find yourself in this situation, a small club hammer is your only hope.
