The AGM will go ahead as planned at Lower Halstow Village Hall at 20.00 on Friday.
The latest guidance from the government removes the mandatory wearing of face coverings in indoor gatherings from next Thursday. However, we would like all members attending to please wear a face covering, particularly when arriving and moving around in the hall. There will be hand sanitiser by the door, please also use that on entry. We will space the chairs more than normal.
We understand one or two members are still a little reluctant to meet in a confined space. We are considering setting up a Zoom online meeting that would allow those members that would rather not or cannot attend to participate. There is no wi-fi in the hall and the mobile signal strength is unknown. If there is a requirement for this we will attempt to set up the Zoom meeting using mobile data. We will position a laptop near the top table where it should pick up the voices of the committee and hopefully voices from the audience.
Obviously, it will not be studio quality, but if we can connect, will give anyone unhappy about or unable to attend the opportunity to do so.
