9th June Lamlash to Millport

After an easy day in the natural deep water harbour of Lamlash we moved on today, to Millport, just 15.5 NM away. The tracking apps crashed again, so I had to manually create the voyage on Sailties, hence the 15.9 above.

It was a fairly straitforward trip with a good sail straight across. It was a little confusing when we reached Millport as a new breakwater has been built since the pilot book was written. But the breakwater shelters the town and provides a large sheltered harbour with loads of visitor moorings where we easily picked up one each. So far we haven’t been able to find out if we need to pay.

We have been ashore and stretched or legs walking around part of the Island coastal path, and the back along the seafront of the town and met “The Fiercest rock of the Clyde.” Look at the pictures to find out more.
