Defending the Swale

A couple of years ago the club welcomed Adam Taylor who did an interesting talk about his kayaking experiences around the forts and mudbanks of the Medway.
He is doing a talk in Sittingbourne next Wednesday evening titled ‘Defending the Swale – join Adam as he takes us on a journey of discovery around the shores of the Isle of Sheppey, looking at the air, sea and land defences that protected us across time.’ Should be interesting for many of us.
Wed 11th February, Avenue Theatre, Avenue of Remembrance, Sittingbourne. ME10 4DN, 1900 start time. £4 on the door unless you’re a member of the Historical Research Group of Sittingbourne.
