Mooring raft and help with moorings

The mooring raft is now in the water and is now available for use. Please note how it is moored so it can be put back the same way. There is anchor dug in to the south to keep if off the slip after southerlies.
It has been tested and is more stable and provides a little more room than the old raft. It is well driven by the club o/b which fits on the cross beam with the aluminium plate. The o/b needs to be slid into position from the side onto the aluminium. If you wish to use the club o/b please arrange in advance with a committee member. If you find it doesn’t start well when cold there is a small rubber hand pump under the cowling which should get it going. Be sure the fuel switch is correctly positioned (vertical) E5 fuel will be used which will hopefully last longer than E10
The “new” pulley has a cover for weather protection, please replace after use.

The list of volunteers willing to assist with mooring works currently stands at 3. It is available in the mooring section of the members menu on the website. If you feel able and are willing please add your name. Those keen to work on the dried out raft are especially sort after!
