Hi All… I sent a post about this awhile back – I found a chap near Dartford who refills the blue 4.5kg Butane cylinders (swapping empty for full) for the same price as the shops used to and has no intention of stopping as it’s a good side business (I am pretty sure there are others who do the same) so it may be that with the empty cylinders coming ON to the market (eBay etc) as people move away from Calor to a better supplier (good riddance – they have shown little interest in us) that we can continue to use our old cylinders…

Here is my original post copied and pasted – I have used him a couple of times now.

There is a chap called Paul in Dartford (so local) who is both selling full 4.5kg butane Calor cylinders for £45 and exchanging for £23. He is actually filling them up himself with Butane and not thru Calor as he and friends of his were sick of waiting for Calor to not do anything. He is a bonafide man trying to help folk like us (day job is for Openreach). I went to his house and bought a cylinder from him already. +447751 890008 mention you know Brooke from Lower Halstow Yacht Club.
